Take the following steps before, during,
and after a car auto accident.
1. Keep your auto insurance information in the car.
2. Keep an emergency kit in your car.
3. Keep pen, paper, cell phone, camera in the car.
4. Stay at the scene of the accident until police have come and gone.
5. Exchange names, addresses, driver's license, car make, model, and
insurance information with the driver of the other car.
6. Document the accident, use camera. get witnesses information if there
are.
7. Report the accident promptly to your insurance company.
8. Discuss the Accident Only with the Police. Do not say that it was your
fault, and do not make accusations.
9. Do not volunteer any information to the police officer at the scene or
to any driver or witness regarding guilt. and do not make accusation
10. If you have any aches or pains, visit a doctor immediately.
11. If you are injured in a car accident, the insurance company may try to
settle with you quickly, before the full extent of your injuries are
